Angela Okune was born and raised in Hawaiʻi, shaped by family histories that connect Taiwan, Japan, and Lithuania. She has lived and worked in Kenya since 2010, where enduring friendships and kinship ties shape her life and work. With a PhD in the anthropology of science, she examines the politics of knowledge infrastructures and the conditions under which more equitable forms of knowledge production might take hold.
